Planned to be initiated in 2013
Object planning, structural framework planning, dynamic calculations, maritime issues, demolition planning of existing leading lights
The consequence of the deepening of the River Elbe in 2010 has been a modification of the navigation channel. Therefore the leading lights had to be adjusted. The leading lights consist of two constructions: the front and rear light. The 40m high front light with an outview platform in the River Elbe has been planned by using a caisson. The 63m high rear light has been built with depth foundations in the slope of the River Elbe and consists of a vibration damper. The existing leading lights had to be removed parallel to the new construction in order to avoid confusion of arriving ships.
